Homelessness in Prince William County, VA
COVID-19 has had devastating impact for many throughout the country. Aside from the health concerns, state quarantines have impacted families in adverse ways.
In Prince William County, the homeless population, which was already vulnerable, has continued to experience vulnerability in these tough times.
The increase in the number of people in tents and experiencing instability in housing due to business shut downs and lack of access to services, means that there are even more people in need.
We’ve seen upticks in the number of people panhandling and requests for assistance in high-trafficked areas throughout the county.
While providing housing is of the upmost importance, there are ways that we all can get involved by providing essentials like food and hygiene products to those who do not have them. Join us by donating or volunteering for our upcoming Food + Hygiene distribution and Donation Drive on Sunday, August 9th from 10:00 am - 3pm at 13895 Hedgewood Drive in Woodbridge.
